The Bystrzyca Valley, and more precisely the Bystrzyca Valley Landscape Park, is an area of protection of exceptional historical and natural values. The huge area is located in Wrocław, Kąty Wrocławskie, Mietki, Sobótka, Miękinia in Lower Silesia.
Park Bystrzyca Valley was founded in 1998 and covers an area of 8.5 hectares. The Bystrzyca River, which is the main axis of the park, is one of the most important left-bank tributaries of the Odra River. Its source is at an altitude of 620 m above sea level, near the border with the Czech Republic, in the Stone Mountains.
Tree stands in the Landscape Park are among the forests of the highest ecological value, due to their occurrence in fertile and wetlands. There are 18 species of plants in the Landscape Park, of which 10 are fully protected, including the symbol of the park - the snowdrop, which occurs here in the wild.
