The Treetop Path – Janské Lázně is an ideal place for a walk
The Karkonosze treetop path was created in 2017 on the slope of Czarna Góra on the outskirts of the Karkonosze National Park. Walking above ground is a truly amazing experience for both children and adults. The culmination of the 1.5-kilometer walk is the entrance to a 45-meter observation tower, from which you can see a breathtaking forest land. The attraction of the observation tower is not only the fabulous panorama, but also the fact that you can go down it using an 80-meter slide.
The Treetops Trail is an educational center available all year round, where you can thoroughly explore the structure of the Karkonosze forests and learn many interesting facts about the lives of wild animals living here. The inscriptions on the boards are in Czech and English, but by downloading a dedicated phone application we can also download the inscriptions in Polish and German. There are also telescopes for children, thanks to which they can take a closer look at the local ecosystem. Just before entering the tower, the path goes underground to a cave with an area of 400 square meters, where you can see the root system of trees.
The Treetop Trail educational center can be reached from the center of Janské Lázně by special buses or by car. There are three well-marked parking lots on site.
