Łomnica Palace in the past

Lomnicky Palace (German: Schloss Lomnitz), like many monuments of this type, had a turbulent history. The first mention of Lomnica Palace come from the end of the 15th century, when the residence was owned by the powerful and influential von Zedlitz family. The building has been rebuilt many times over the centuries and passed through the hands of many famous families. In the years 1835-1945 it was owned by the von Küster family and then, during the reconstruction in the years 1838-1844, it took on its modern form.

After the war, the palace became the property of the state. It was then turned into a school. From the 1970s, it fell into disrepair until it was bought out in the early 1990s by a Polish-German company with the participation of the heirs of the von Küster family, which, out of sentiment for the seat of their ancestors, took care of its renovation.
