The Ślężański Landscape Park is one of the many natural attractions of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. It was founded in 1988 and covers 8,190 hectares. That's the equivalent of 11,470 football fields. For comparison, the smallest country in the world, the Vatican, has 44 hectares.
The most characteristic element of the park is Mount Ślęża - 718 m above sea level. Its conical shape is so distinctive in the region that it appears on the coat of arms Ślęża Landscape Park. There are many cone-shaped mountains in the area, because they are extinct volcanoes. To the west of the park there is even a land of extinct volcanoes, but Ślęża is not of volcanic origin.

Ślężański Landscape Park it is an immeasurable wealth of flora and fauna. There are also 25 species of rare protected plants and 10 species of partially protected plants in the park. The forest stand is characterized by numerous pines, birches, oaks and the most numerous spruces (about 50%). The fauna is rich mainly in numerous insects. Among the larger animals, you can meet an eagle owl, an ermine or a weasel.
