Exercises for teamwork in the company
Yes, after a traditional away party it is easier to strengthen bonds, but it can also easily lead to tensions or misunderstandings. Instead, it is worth focusing on exercises that will improve teamwork in the company. Thanks to them, after one evening the team will be more cohesive. Team members will know more about each other and bonds will become stronger, but without unnecessary familiarity, as at a traditional party.
As an exercise for teamwork in the company, it is worth using:
- cooking workshops, cooking tournament,
- paintball, stalking,
- integration in the rope park,
- survival,
- corporate games.
Why integration outside the office works better?
What is it about team-building trips that allows for teamwork, even between people who don't usually like each other? Psychology knows the mechanism by which, in new circumstances, it is often possible to solve problems that seem unsolvable. For example, if employees are to be assigned roles that they associate with the world of The Hobbit, an experienced trainer will immediately notice whether the boss is considered a dragon, Gollum, or the wise Gandalf.

Joint problem solving as teamwork

It can also be played in teamwork and messaging programs like Wrike, Zoom, Asana, etc.
What else determines whether teamwork will succeed?
The idea of integration is not everything. Teamwork in the company will not succeed without several additional factors:
- tolerant, open boss, with whom you can speak freely;
- moderation at least at the beginning of the teamwork exercise. This could be a boss, a senior associate, or an outside coach.
- An exercise adapted to the abilities of each participant, attractive to different age groups;
- It can be helpful to set a reward, preferably for all members of the winning team.
