The beginnings of any great undertaking, as this is what a wedding celebration can be called, are usually difficult, especially when we do not have people around us who have experience in this topic. Many matters are planned intuitively and carried out along with other formalities. What should we remember first of all? The most important thing, of course, is to set a wedding date. It is worth thinking about this at least a year in advance, because, for example, more weddings are organized in spring and summer than in winter. The issue of keeping an eye on the dates applies to both church ceremonies and hotel or restaurant reservations.

“It often happens that the bride and groom leave the hotel reservation until the last minute and, paradoxically, a problem arises at the very beginning of the wedding preparations. Places that are very popular have a full reservation schedule, often a year or even two in advance. In such situations, our hands are tied, so we advise you to remember to make your reservation well in advance. We are at the guests' disposal in organizational matters, both in terms of the wedding theme and the decoration of the room wedding menu” – says Joanna Hoc-Kopiej, owner of Dwór Korona Karkonoszy.

It is worth remembering that if the date of the wedding is important to us, because, for example, we want to organize the ceremony after the strict wedding season, in order to save on costs, we should start organizing the reception and booking the room even sooner. Many young couples, in addition to holidays, also choose dates before and after the season.

Friends, acquaintances, as well as close and extended family are invited to the wedding. However, the decision about who and where to sit is not as simple as it may seem. More important guests should be seated closer to the bride and groom, children and teenagers at one table, and older guests together in another place. Thanks to this, people from different families will have the opportunity to get to know each other better during conversation. It is necessary to plan the table arrangement in the room in advance.

The best solution during weddings seems to be to arrange the tables in a T, U or O shape. The bride and groom are then in the central place, i.e. where a "couple of the evening" should be. Guests seated in such arrangements can see each other and sit close to each other. What should you avoid? First of all, seating guests at a large distance from each other and at separate tables - unless it is a banquet wedding of a more official nature. The bride and groom should not be separated significantly from the tables at which the guests are sitting, as this creates a distance that makes no one feel at ease.

A wedding is a place for meetings after many years and for family conversations that take place around the table. So we should make sure that nothing is missing. To diversify the wedding menu, we can prepare a slightly modernized, but still traditional menu. Serving vegetarian dishes has also become popular recently. More and more people are giving up meat in their diet and such guests may also appear at the wedding. You should prepare a list of vegetarians in advance and consult the dishes with the Chef. After all, we want all, absolutely all, wedding guests to feel great.

“If there are up to 10 people at the wedding who do not eat meat, we prepare several vegetarian dishes separately, e.g. various types of salads and snacks. If this number is higher, then we serve the entire vegetarian menu, i.e. soup and hot dishes. In addition, we are modernizing traditional cuisine. This involves making small changes to the recipe that bring excellent results, e.g. pork chop breaded in sunflower seeds. Additives such as cheeses and home-made liqueurs are an additional advantage of our weddings," says the Chef of Dwór Korona Karkonoszy.

What are the most interesting wedding tips?

Outdoor weddings are certainly a real hit in recent years. A vow said with a view of the mountains gives everyone positive vibes and a great mood. Often, when the weather is good, part of the wedding is moved outside. This allows guests to enjoy the views for a while before returning to the dance floor for the night.

Another great idea is to organize a themed wedding, where the main style and all the related aspects make the ceremony absolutely unique. Young people often decide to have a wedding in the style of the Polish People's Republic, the 1920s, or their favorite movie motif. A Harry Potter themed wedding? Why not!
